The 3rd SHRC took place in the stunning location of Blair Atholl Range

The use of a computerised scoring system for the first time at the Championships enabled competitors to follow the scores as they were posted.

  


Black powder arms were used extensively in the Championships.

 

 

 

 

SMLEs were well represented with 7 taking part in Classic and 2 in Historic Target Rifle sporting target sights.

 

 

Competitors such as Fergus Highgate also acted as Range Conducting Officers.

 

 

 

No 4's were popular as ever with 10 taking part.

 

Fred Rowe shooting in the Deliberate where he placed 5th with his P14 and 8th= with his M17.

 

Martini Henry rifles were well represented with 4 taking part along with a MH carbine. This one is accompanied by either Evan More or Keith Henderson. If either of you see this, let me know which one of you this is.

 

 

Steve Farquhar takes part in the Black Dog Deliberate Match with his G98 Mauser.

 

The sheep don't seem to be bothered as the Deliberate match takes place

 

As well as the classic classes the Any Rifle class was popular. Iain Morrison put in a solid performance winning the Rapid and coming second in Deliberate and Snap with his SGC AR-15.

 

 

 

Two Long Lees made a welcome appearance at the Championships, this one in the hands of John Potter.
